Our SCSC Welfare Officer  – Andy Callaghan - Wetton

Hi everyone, my name is Andy Callaghan-Wetton, and I'm the Welfare Officer for Sherwood Colliery Swimming Club. I'm here to ensure the safety, well-being, and positive experience of our ‘Team Black & Gold’ swimmers, parents, and volunteers.

As a ‘swim dad’ and avid supporter of my two children, I fully understand the importance of my position at the club.  My professional capacity as an Executive Headteacher with over 20 years working in education, clearly supports the role and I am particularly well placed to carry out the duties associated with being the club welfare lead.

The SCSC welfare role is dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for everyone involved in the club. Whether you have questions, concerns, or simply need someone to talk to, I'm here to listen and offer confidential support.

Don't hesitate to reach out to me if:

  • You have any concerns about child safety or welfare.
  • You'd like to discuss bullying, harassment, or discrimination.
  • You have questions about safeguarding policies or procedures.
  • You need support or advice on any welfare-related matter.

My door is always open (or my inbox is always available!), so please don't hesitate to come to me in confidence. Your well-being is our priority.

You can contact me in person (typically at Harvey Haddon Pool), by  messaging our Facebook Page or by emailing me at:

[email protected]

I look forward to getting to know you all and playing a positive role in our swimming community.

Sincerely,

Andy Callaghan-Wetton - Swimming Club Welfare Officer
