Information Board

There is an information board at the bottom of the stairs at the Sherwood pool.
This is updated regularly with information about gala dates, team selection and club functions, committee membership etc.

Please ensure that you check the board every time your child attends training.

Swimming Galas

Participation in competitions is optional, the club caters for all levels and abilities. The club competes in various competitions throughout the year. Age groups in these events vary. Your child may not be eligible for all galas even though they have swum for the club in other events.

Moving Training Sessions

As your child improves they will be asked to move into the next training lane/time by their coach. This is done when the coach feels that they will cope with harder training schedules.

Personal Best Times

As your child gets more experienced, their personal best times (PB's) will improve. In order to keep track of their improvement, a record of PBs is kept and displayed on the information board. The PB record is updated monthly. In order to keep this accurate, please complete PB slips and place in the box provided (next to information board). Please note that PBs only count when performed during a recognized competition.

Open Meets

Your child can represent themselves and the club in ASA registered open meets. Information about these can be obtained on the notice board, swimming magazines or from the ASA website.

Swimming Magazines

Swimming magazines can be ordered through the club. Please contact Mick Hatton.

Fees

Club registration is paid annually in January. If your child is asked to be a squad member they will need to registered with the Amateur Swimming Association. This requires payment of a small registration fee via the club. Fees are also payable at the door for each session attended.
