The Club would like to congratulate Rebecca Adlington on her double gold Olympic success!
Rebecca began her competitive career with Sherwood Colliery Swimming Club before moving up to the Nottinghamshire county team Nova Centurion and her current coach Bill Furniss. Her mother used to teach at Sherwood and was an active committee member. The family connection remains, with sister Laura continuing to coach swimmers at Sherwood.
Mansfield District Council has suggested that the Sherwood Baths could be renamed in Rebecca's honour.
